     break into
air
       leather man
break into air

breathe
      into
   leather man
          breathe into air
   leather jacket
   licked back
      hair
and
steal
another
      man
        break
into
leather
     man
don't break
don't break man
     don't break

look leather
man
       break it or lose it
     leather
man
break the air
man
      pomegranate flower
hoplite bannister

leather man
      slip into
        the air
like a man
          breaks in his
      leather
man
breaks into
          the hairy air
       leather rip
    jacket rip
licked backseat
          nothing
man sniffling
a diagram
then sentenceless i don't exist rip
        lick leather men sniffing
about arson
one might hang
  about
arson around
  one night about
     like smoke
one might
   break the air
          smoke around
one just might smoke leather man

Bukowski’s Place

He had a thick listhp like he’d been punched in his mouth
his whole life. He didn’t ask us to leave
but served us garbage whiskey, asked
a half condescending question
about how long we’ve had the internet
and then shot a small, scared mouse
with a bow and arrow.

We were tourists alright.

The thing is wide & white
But bearing a ring of amber
Which carries across memory
_like a whisper-washed hair or
Blade, but I think back on her question
And yes, I am killing myself adoringly
Melting my body to the mat

For this knuckle of pint. When I think

Of her the follies rise,
Precepts enjamb in pain, a sweet round
Aftertaste stalking the long dark nap.
Don’t change a word. You
Are wise & wind torn & yr ears are tuned
_to just
Frequencies — the grass whimpers above each follicle
Lip quivering by truth-run conceit. We have
Suffered, but in my ocean, beside your ocean, …

I think: “Bare it,” I say.
